I live in East Bloomington with my husband, John, two kids (10 and 13) plus lots of pets: Monty the snake, Cora the leopard gecko, a tank full of fish.. two cats, a nice one named Odie and his evil step-sister Tater, and two dogs; Keely and Thor. Keely is a Keeshond and Thor is a German Rottweiler.
I work full-time as the founder and CEO of Hour Kids Walk-in Childcare. I currently volunteer in public policy for Kids Count on Us as an Early Childhood advocate. Previously, I served two years in the AmeriCorps as a MN ReadingCorps member, teaching reading skills and providing educational interventions to 'at risk' children. I do part-time consulting and training for start-ups and childcare center admin. Our daughter started on the Rec track back in January of 2016 as a 3-year-old. She is currently in 5th grade and on DP Level 4. I enjoy learning from others with different experiences, opinions and views. The board is an excellent opportunity to work with others that share common goals and experiences for our children to develop life-long skills. |

I live in Eden Prairie with my wife Kim, daughters Kalina (19) and Carissa (16). We have two cats, a dog and two rats. I work as an IT project manager for the Toro Company in Bloomington, I also do event photography on the side. Other than the RGC board, I also serve on the Upper Midwest Flute Association’s board (my wife is a flute teacher!) as the Technology and Photography Director.
My daughter Carissa started at RGC in 2016 by taking rec classes, she has since discovered her passion in gymnastics and is now a member of the Xcel Platinum team. She also coaches rec classes. I joined the RGC board in July of 2021 because I wanted to support my daughter’s gymnastics journey at RGC |

5I live in Mendota Heights with my husband, Eric, son Tate (17), daughter Nora (15), Betty (mutt), and Ginger (mini Schnauzer). I own Melissa Kay Photography.
We came to RGC in 2018 when Nora was a level 4. She is now Level 8. We love the size of RGC and how it's more like a family instead of a huge, impersonal gym. We wanted somewhere where she could have fun and be herself without feeling constantly pressured and pushed too hard. She's learning and growing a ton while making some of the best friends she's ever had! She loves her coaches and how they know how to help her and teach her in the ways she needs. I've been greatly enjoying my time on the board and look forward to continue being able to give back to and be involved in the RGC community. |
10I currently reside in South Minneapolis with my husband, Garrett, daughter Lily, son Wyatt, and Otis (hound mix rescue). I work as a high school Social Studies Teacher and Advisor for Youth in Politics.
Lily started with RGC in 2010, and she is presently a level 10 gymnast and recreational coach. I've been a board member for the past 3.5 years and enjoy supporting the club my daughter cares deeply about. |
