Overview

RGC’s Recreational Program offers classes to both boys and girls, walking and up, all year round! Our classes meet 1-2 days per week and range in length from 30 minutes to 2 hours per class. Gymnasts in our program learn their level specific skills through safe progressions taught by qualified instructors. Our gymnasts are challenged physically and mentally and are highly encouraged every step of the way.

Our Recreational classes (not PreK) are designed for gymnasts to master their current level’s skills on all 4 events before moving on to the next level. Our priority is teaching gymnastics, using safe progressions at each level. Gymnasts will receive a Move-Up Email once they have successfully mastered their level's skill requirements. You may follow your child's progress on the Parent Portal under “Evaluations”. Skill evaluations are updated 2 times per session at the mid point, and at the end of each session. 100% of skills need to be mastered before a move-up can occur. This is for the safety of your gymnast! If you have any questions regarding your child's progress, please communicate with their coach before or after their class.

We believe that every child should be able to participate in gymnastics. If your child has a medical condition that we should know about, please indicate it on their registration, or give us a call.  We want to make sure that everyone has a safe, fun, and positive experience! Parents/Guardians are welcome to stay and watch their gymnast during their class in either one, of our two viewing rooms. Parents are not required to stay, however, proper communication to the gymnast and their coach is necessary if leaving.
